Diary Of An Ordinary Guy
Well, I finished Diary of a Superhero today. Which was quite sad actually, because it means I've finished yet another story that I write and yet another adventure is over. Well, that's how I generally view it when I'm writing.
I can always do a sequel, but I've tried that before and never been able to pull it off. In fact, I've always attempted a sequel. Destiny's Star, the original story I wrote, and the one I kept editing for years before finally letting it go, had two. But one I never finished and one was the worse thing I've ever written. Naturally I have ideas for Diary of a Superhero, and since it was just episodes anyway a sequel could just be more of the same. 'Season 2' as it would be called. But where's the fun in that? Just more of the same. I have a few other ideas I could do. Other than that I'm out.
That said, usually it takes me ages to get an idea for a story. Destiny's Star began as English Coursework, Just Another Story I made up in my head (the entire thing) when on holiday and when there was nothing to do, and Diary of a Superhero came about originally as a superhero story when I saw Spiderman. Or was it Spiderman 2? Either way it was a long time ago, and my attempts to invent a superhero. Dunno how it ever would have worked seriously.
I have one story left I could tell, which was the one I created for our old D&D game, which was interesting and had plenty of original characters. (Talking armour that resembled KITT anyone?) But I dunno if I'll ever write that one up. Might even convert it into 'Diary of a Hero' and have it as a prequel to Diary of a Superhero. About another adventure to save the world years in our past, featuring a previous Guardian as one of the cast members (since we had a superhero in the original story).
Or maybe I'll just wait until I get inspired. I dunno.
Or perhaps I could find something else to do for a bit!
